Elsie Hughes is a 14-year-old racing cyclist from Ripponden in West Yorkshire. Born without her left forearm, she competes — and succeeds — against able-bodied riders across multiple cycling disciplines, while also progressing through national para cycling pathways.
Elsie races Track, Mountain Bike, Cyclo-Cross and Road/Circuit, combining technical skill, resilience and an exceptional work ethic. She is now part of the British Cycling Para Programme, receiving specialist coaching with the long-term aim of competing at international para cycling events.
